The right assessment, at the right moment.
IntakeCompass is a library of guided, non-diagnostic client assessments — from a full biopsychosocial intake to focused instruments for the concerns that surface mid-treatment. Your client completes one through a private link; you receive a clear, structured summary. Walk into session one — and every session after — already oriented.
Three steps, no new habits.
It fits how you already practice — whether it's the week before session one or the middle of month three.
Choose an assessment
Pick from the library — a full intake, or a focused assessment for what's surfacing now — and generate a private, single-use link.
Your client completes it
They answer at their own pace through a calm, guided flow — structured questions with room for their own words — wherever they are.
You read the report
A structured summary organizes what they shared into themes you can act on — consistent every time, never a diagnosis. Assign another later to see what's changed.
One credit system. A growing library.
Every assessment is guided, non-diagnostic, and completed through a private link — each with a clear credit cost, no surprises.
Intake, in depth
A comprehensive biopsychosocial & life-context intake, culturally responsive variants — including a dedicated Frum intake — and structured family-history work, so the first session starts from the whole picture.
Focused assessments
Structured, single-concern assessments for what surfaces in the room — mood, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, sleep, burnout, anger, attention and follow-through, eating and body, chronic pain, attachment, emotion regulation, dissociation, readiness for change.
Experiential instruments
Original guided instruments — like the Somatic Life Atlas — that help clients map their inner landscape in their own words, returned to you as an organized, therapist-first reflection.
In clinician pilot: deep specialty instruments for trauma, compulsive sexual behavior, and partners affected by betrayal are in development with licensed clinicians. Ask about joining the pilot.
Built for the room, not around it.
Clinical boundaries and client privacy aren't features here — they're the architecture.
Non-diagnostic by design
It organizes and summarizes self-report. It never diagnoses — your clinical judgment stays central.
Clear consent, every time
Every assessment opens with its own consent step before a single question is asked.
Encrypted, minimal retention
Built on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Each practice's data is isolated.
Therapist-led AI reflections
Secure AI reflections synthesize complex client narratives into clear themes, shaped by licensed clinicians to be strengths-first and never alarming.

Questions therapists ask us
Is IntakeCompass HIPAA-appropriate? Is there a BAA?
Client assessment content lives entirely on HIPAA-eligible AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure under strict Business Associate Addendums, encrypted in transit and at rest. For client PHI, IntakeCompass acts as your Business Associate. No PHI is sent to any unauthorized third-party vendors.
What does my client actually see?
A calm, private, guided assessment behind a single-use link — no account, no app. After they submit, they see nothing further unless you explicitly release a gentle, non-clinical summary to them. You can preview that client copy before releasing it.
Does it diagnose?
No — by design. Reports organize and summarize what your client shared. While IntakeCompass includes AI-powered clinical reflections to gently guide your review and highlight key themes, it never generates a diagnosis. Your clinical judgment always stays central.
Do credits expire?
Never. You buy credits when you need them; each assessment shows its credit cost before you send it.
Can I delete a client's data?
Yes. A verified deletion path permanently removes an organization's assignments, responses, reports, and credentials. Deletion actions are audit-logged.
How do clients get the link?
You share it however you already communicate — we deliberately never email assessment links, which keeps client PHI out of email entirely.
Is IntakeCompass only for intake?
No. The library includes full intakes and focused assessments you can assign at any point in treatment — when a new concern surfaces, or to revisit an area and see what has changed since the first session. Each assessment is a private link, whenever you need one.
